We created Spruce to help you with all three.
We opened our physician-led medical spa to provide the people of Licking County and surrounding areas with safe, effective options to enhance their natural beauty. We listen to your interests and needs and make you feel pampered as we deliver some of the most advanced, minimally invasive procedures available, along with top-of-the-line skincare products for you to use at home.
Dr. Alex Campolo
Dr. Alex Campolo founded Spruce because he wanted to help people feel more confident and beautiful, and he believed his hometown of Newark, Ohio was the perfect spot for a safe, physician-oriented medical spa. After completing his residency in internal medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Dr. Campolo trained in aesthetics and has been performing minimally invasive aesthetic procedures ever since.
Dr. Campolo attended University of Georgia, majoring in Applied Biotechnology, Biological Sciences and Entomology, and he graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
When he’s not focused on his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family & friends, watching live music, and spending time at Buckeye Lake.
Dr. Maria May
Dr. Maria May is passionate about helping people feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin. She joined Spruce to pursue this, along with her focus on preventative health. Dr. May hopes to help people understand their skin better and prevent aging and damage through routine and thorough skincare.
Dr. May attended Clemson University in South Carolina, Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
When she’s not working with her patients, Dr. May enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter and Golden Retriever, working in her garden, running, cheering for Clemson football, and getting to the beach.
Chasity Coad
With more than 10 years of aesthetic experience, Chastity Coad loves to share her knowledge and expertise with patients to help them overcome their skincare challenges. She believes a good at-home skincare regimen is key to healthy, flawless skin.
Chasity graduated from Aveda Institute with advanced Aesthetic training and specializes in advanced skincare knowledge, anti-aging, acne, pigmentation, chemical peels, HydraFacial microdermabrasion, and dermaplaning.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and loves cooking and living a healthy, clean lifestyle.
Kelsey Barrett
Having trained at Aveda Institute, Kelsey Barrett’s favorite skincare procedures include extractions, dermaplaning, and oxygen infusion. She is certified in classic lash extensions and is an experienced makeup artist. Prior to joining the team at Spruce, Kelsey worked as an aesthetician and social media manager for salons and spas.
Kelsey graduated from Belmont University with a commercial voice degree and studied music abroad in Manchester. In her free time she loves to sing, enjoys true crime documentaries and podcasts, and spending time with her French Bulldog, Chancho.
